Services

This Privacy Policy applies to Referyou.com.au, Referyou-branded apps, and other Referyou-related sites, apps, communications and services (“Services”), but excluding services that state that they are offered under a different privacy policy.

Change

We may modify this Contract, our Privacy Policy and our Cookies Policies from time to time. If we make material changes to it, we will provide you notice through our Services, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. What is personal information?

Registration

To create an account you provide data including your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password. Additionally we may collect additional information such as:

Use of the service

We collect information about your use of the service, for example when requesting referrals for specific services, or friends and connections and service provider you have contacted in the past.

Usage data

We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our sites, app and platform technology (e.g., our off-site plugins), such as when you view or click on content, perform a search, install one of our mobile apps. We use log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use.

Location data

When you visit or leave our Services (including our plugins or cookies or similar technology on the sites of others), we receive the URL of both the site you came from and the one you go to next. Why we collect data and how we use it

The primary purpose for which we collect information about you is to enable us to perform our business activities and functions and to provide best possible quality of customer experience. We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

to communicate with you, including but not limited to, by email, mail, SMS or telephone;
to manage and enhance our products and services;
to personalise and customise your experience;
to verify your identity;
to provide as part of business data to third parties if you have authorised us to do so;

to conduct business processing functions for operation of our websites or our business;

We currently do not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your permission.

How to access your personal informationy

All personal information provided by yourself can be viewed and edited directly within our services.

You may request access to any personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us (details below). Where we hold information that you are entitled to access, we will try and provide you with suitable means of accessing it (for example, by mailing or emailing it to you). We will not charge for simply making a request and will not charge for making any corrections to your personal information. If you make an access request, we will ask you to verify your identity. For example, we may need to refuse access if granting access would interfere with the privacy of others, or if it would result in a breach of confidentiality.
